From 5-6 November, an indigenous preparatory meeting in Copenhagen discussed Indigenous Peoples’ experi-ences, challenges and opportunities with regard to business and human rights, as well as the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights for implementing the UN “Protect, Respect and Remedy” Framework, possible ways of engaging with the UN Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises (UNWG) and participation in the first annual UN Forum on Business and Human Rights.1 This briefing note summarises the outcomes of the meeting and provides an overview of the challenges and opportunities identified, as well as concrete recommendations to the UNWG.
