The aim of this report is to call attention to a program of ethnocide which is being applied to ethnic minorities in Mexico as a part of a policy of capitalist development being carried out by the Mexican government through regional development agencies. It can be shown that ethnocidal policies of these agencies have an intimate relationship with the broad economic and political goals of the federal government. An examination of past and present treatment of Mazatec and Chinantec peoples.
