The objective of this work is to report the experiences I had in Brazil during the five months of my stay with the Indians of the Ari­puanã Indigenous Park, from July to December, 1972, I went there as a physician and ethnologist, having previously spent some time in the Peruvian forest in 1970, and in the Brazilian forest in 1971.
